Overcoming the Turtle Mentality: How To Thrive in Difficult Times

Fear and anxiety kill innovation and creativity because they turn employees into turtles. Employees pull back into their shells and think "do nothing wrong" instead of "do the right thing" and "don't rock the boat" instead of "take intelligent risks." These are exactly the wrong attitudes and behaviors at any time but especially so now when organizations need all the new ideas they can get just to stay even. As a leader you need to create engaged teams that will drive performance in spite of this negative atmosphere. Overcoming the Turtle Mentality will give you the tools you need to replace negativity with enthusiasm and do nothing with can-do. Learn how to align personal goals with corporate objectives and create cohesive teams that will help your organization thrive today and be prepared to take advantage of tomorrow's upturn.

Engaging Executives in Training

We know from our study of the adult learning environment, that adults want information and skills they can use to solve problems and take advantage of new opportunities. In this workshop, we focus on preparing and delivering training that is in context with the executive's business issues.

How To Overcome Workplace Negativity and keep Employees Engaged During Anxious Times

Apathy. Passive Resistance. Pessimism. Conflict.
Nothing can sap an organization's will to succeed as fast as these symptoms of workplace negativity. They drain the life out of every new idea, the spirit behind every new initiative. Negative attitudes spread to the point where they eventually affect performance and decision-making. That's the bad news.
The good news is that enthusiasm and positive attitudes spread just as quickly and affect performance just as much - in the right direction. Now you can learn to create an atmosphere of success and positive thinking throughout your organization from the master of enthusiasm - Dale Carnegie.
